Bryce Elder threw seven shutout innings against the Yankees, turning in his best start of the second half. Rangers star 3B Josh Jung suffered a fractured thumb during Sunday's game while making the play on a 109 mph line drive off his glove. Jung could be back before the playoffs, depending on the severity of his fracture. Marlins star rookie RHP Eury Pérez spent the last month at Double-A in an attempt to lighten his workload.
