The Giants had the most surprising turnaround in MLB. Few could have guessed they would lead MLB with 107 wins in 2021. It was made possible by vintage seasons from their veteran core, as well as great pitching. After a trip to the World Series in 2020, the Rays entered 2021 with their eyes set on a return but they ran into a surprise in the ALDS. They lost to a hot Red Sox team and saw their season come to a surprising end. Despite this, 2021 was a successful year for Tampa Bay and they're just getting started. Equipped with a strong young core and future superstar, the Rays will be scary in 2022.

It was a good year on the South Side of Chicago. The White Sox played great baseball all season and won the AL Central quite handily. They were eliminated in the ALDS by the Astros but there's plenty more left in the tank for this team. Talent isn't an issue at the moment - they just need to keep getting better as they have been doing already.
